Senior Drilling Engineers

The Senior Drilling Engineer shall provide technical, operational and commercial expertise in the preparation for, execution of and reporting on well operations under the direction of the Project Manager or Drilling Superintendent, as appropriate. In periods, the Senior Drilling Engineer will also deputise for the Project Manager and/or Drilling Superintendent as necessary.
Responsibilities:
As a member of our staff you will be responsible for:
- Well design including casing, directional, fluids, cementing, bits and hydraulics programming Preparation of Drilling Programs
- Preparation of data for statutory submissions to regulatory authorities
- Preparation of and participation in risk assessment, hazard analysis and DWOP processes
- Preparation of AFE’s
- Participation in emergency response team
- Occasional offshore assignment on to assist the Drilling Supervisor on specific technical sections of the well construction program
- Customer interface and business opportunity development.
The position demands technical and operational expertise in planning, execution and reporting on well operations. The successful candidate should have a degree in engineering and several years experience within the oil and gas industry.
