SeaVator STE 150

The SeaVator STE 150 is an extremely versatile and powerful tool that can be utilised in a variety of ways to both excavate and trench a range of pipline sizes and soil conditions. This compact underwater hydrodynamic excavation, trenching and backfilling system is designed for operation at sea. 


The system consists of a SeaVator unit and a purpose built handling system with dual guide wires specially designed to reduce tool motion during launch and recovery in heavy sea states. It uses hydrodynamic flow principles as its core, and can be adapted to specific requirements through combining it with specialised tools.

The system is capable of all general excavation tasks, pipeline and cable trenching and backfilling. System equipment includes diesel driven hydraulic power pack, control cabin and umbilical reel. Deck area required 100m2. Total system weight 35t.

An Integrated Handling System with dual guide wires is part of the SeaVator STE 150 package. It is compact and easily enstalled on small vessels and can be transported by sea of air in standard 20 foot containers. The basic system heighs in at 35 tonnes and requires 35m2 of deck space. Multi-beam sonar and SIT cameras can easily be installed.
