The Dynamic Desander provides operators with a cost effective solution for removing sand from the liquid stream before it reaches their process facilities.
The unique design allows the system to monitor accumulated solids and operates with optimal efficiency regardless of pressure, flow, gas and particles. Field experience indicates that this technology can contribute to improved recovery rates in late-stage production.
Optimizing solution
Sand production is an increasing problem as fields age. If oil companies are to optimize recovery rates, they must find good, cost-effective solutions for removing sand from the liquid stream, before it reaches the process facilities.
The Dynamic Desander technology is the solution to this challenge. In many cases, sand content is a crucial factor in the production of oil and gas. While other products often calculate sand content based on theoretical estimates with considerable uncertainty, the Dynamic Desander can determine sand content based on physical extraction of sand and waste from wells.
Low pressure
AGR's patented sand separator technology has a number of advantages compared with other products. The separator works regardless of the pressure in the liquid flow, and has a good effect even at the low pressures common in older wells.
AGR Drilling Services is now further developing the Dynamic Desander so that the equipment can also be used in connection with subsea operations. Until now the equipment has been placed on the rig.
