AGR Petroleum Services was created by the acquisition of the following companies:
Drilling Production Technology AS (DPT)
- Founded in Norway in 2002
- Created Norway's first multi-client rig campaign, focused on well construction in Norway
- Acquired by AGR in August 2005
Triangle Technology AS
- founded in Norway in 1991 to provide consultancy services to the Norwegian market in well construction and subsurface skills
- now part of the Consultancy Services division together with the former Peak Consultancy Services, one of the oil industry’s largest suppliers of white collar contract personnel
- Acquired by AGR in August 2005
Reservoir Evaluation Services AS
- Known as PGS Reservoir AS in Norway until 2005
- Founded in 1993, with origins in the ERC Tigress and NOPEC consultancies from the early eighties
- Delivered multi-client projects and provided consultancy services primarily in Geophysics, Geology, Petrophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Facilities/Costing, Petroleum Economics and Data Management
- Successfully opened a branch in Kazakhstan in January 2006
- Acquired by AGR in May 2006
The Peak Group
- Founded in the UK in 1998
- focused on high performance well construction in UK, Africa, Middle East, Asia Pacific and North America
- Provided services in outsourced well construction, consultancy services and performance engineering
- Acquired by AGR in May 2006
Upstream Petroleum Pty Ltd (UPPL)
- Founded in Australia in 1997
- An Australian and Asian integrated oil and gas service provider
- Manage, engineer and service offshore and onshore oil and gas production facilities throughout their life cycle - from exploration and appraisal drilling, through to full field development, production and final abandonment
- Now forms AGR Asia Pacific together with Peak’s PGAP subsidiary
- Acquired by AGR in January 2007
F.J. Brown
- Founded in the United States in 1987
- Leading drilling engineering and well management firms in the United States
- Focused on providing drilling and completion engineering support and well project management services to offshore oil and gas operators
- Now part of AGR Americas and represents a significant addition to the AGR Group’s activities in the region
- Acquired by AGR in April 2007
TRACS International Consultancy Ltd
- Founded in the UK in 1992
- Global provider of integrated services and training in the geology and petroleum engineering sectors
- Services include integrated field evaluations, asset evaluations and valuations, training, and strategic consulting
- Represents a significant addition to AGR Petroleum Services’ strategy to offer integrated services across the entire petroleum exploration and development value chain
- Acquired by AGR in June 2008
