AGR Group acquires maritime & design engineering business Kverndokk & Eldøy

AGR Field Operations, part of AGR Group, the Norway-based oil technology and services group, has entered into a purchase agreement regarding the acquisition of Kverndokk & Eldøy based in Ålesund, Norway.
Kverndokk & Eldøy has 8 employees and has supported the maritime sector for more than 40 years, focusing on maritime design and engineering. This acquisition will extend AGR Group’s overall engineering competences within vessel design and specifically add capacity and competences to hydro dynamic engineering.
All of the employees and contractors of Kverndokk & Eldøy are being offered continued association with the business under the new ownership.
The addition of the business to AGR Group will increase AGR’s capabilities within offshore related design. In addition the acquisition gives AGR the rights to a new platform design, Swat. Swat is a small water plane twin hull design, offering superior sea keeping abilities.
The company will be fully integrated into AGR Project Partner, a division of AGR Field Operations, and maintain its base at Ålesund.
