An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our team in the Aberdeen office. The primary role will focus on providing frontline HSE support and direction to project teams and management with a strong focus on North Sea drilling operations.

AGR has drilled more than 530 wells globally and in 2015 AGR became the first well management company to gain approval as a well operator from UKCS industry regulator the Oil and Gas Authority under new Offshore Safety Directive Regulator rules.

 
The Role
 
  • Active participation in project teams providing HSE guidance, risk management, permitting and legislative advice with primary focus on well operations
  • Preparation of key Well Management HSE document deliverables including interface documents, emergency response plans, EIA, OPEP/OSCP and Waste Management Plans
  • HSE audits and site inspections
  • Active participation in rig calls, safety meetings, risk assessments and ‘DWOPs’
  • Provide HSE support during operational incidents and subsequent reporting and investigation
  • HSE performance monitoring and intervention
  • Promote a positive safety culture and maintain visibility of HSE issues with primary focus on well operations
Qualification requirements
  • Recognised UK professional HSE qualification
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001
  • Extensive knowledge of UK wells HSE legislation & permitting requirements
Job specific requirements
  • Knowledge of drilling operations and associated risks
  • Drilling related HSE experience in UK is required, international experience beneficial
  • Risk assessment and management
