An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Wells HSEQ professional to lead our HSEQ function, providing frontline HSEQ support and direction to management and all personnel within the UK region with the primary focus on corporate HSEQ & SEMS maintenance and compliance.

AGR has managed drilling of more than 530 well projects globally in 23 countries for over 100 operators (see our reference projects here). This has been achieved without any major Health, Safety or Environmental issues with all wells subject to planning in accordance with the relevant legislation. 

AGR is approved as a well operator by the UKCS regulator, the Oil & Gas Authority, in accordance with The Offshore Installations Regulation 2015. 
 
Qualification requirements
Recognised professional HSE qualification.
 
Job specific requirements
You will be responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of AGR’s management systems to ensure that AGR comply with the applicable regulatory requirements, industry best practice and corporate governance whilst achieving exemplary HSEQ performance.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provision of HSEQ guidance and direction to management and personnel with primary focus on well operations teams
  • Ensure AGR facilities and well management operations are compliant with applicable legislation and AGR management systems
  •  Promote a positive safety culture and maintain visibility of HSEQ issues with primary focus on well operations
  •  Preparation and participation in key Well Management project deliverables including; interfacing and emergency response arrangements, safety meetings, risk assessments and ‘DWOPs’
  •  Provide HSEQ support during operational incidents and subsequent reporting and investigation
  • Monitor internal and supplier HSEQ performance and compliance in accordance with annual KPIs and Supplier Management procedures, including where appropriate compliance audits
  • Maintenance and development of the AGR Quality Management Systems in line with corporate, ISO and legislative requirements
  • Project auditing and providing HSEQ support to Well Teams
  • Develop the annual HSE plan, monitor and report progress monthly
  • Provide HSEQ support during operational incidents and subsequent reporting and investigation
 
Key competencies:
  • Extensive knowledge of industry HSE legislative requirements, ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001
  • Extensive knowledge of industry HSE practices
  • Lead Auditor Training and experience
  • Risk assessment and incident investigation techniques
  • Significant industry HSEQ experience in UKCS and overseas, West Africa experience beneficial
  • Ability to lead incident investigations using an industry recognised investigation system (E.g. Topset, Bow Tie)
  • Experience of working in an offshore/overseas environment
  • Experienced in provision of Country Risk Assessment, Advice and Reconnaissance Visits and reporting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence project teams and management
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to self-organise and plan for HSE excellence
  • Standard MS Office packages
