The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales of AGR EDS-ORS products and services in Europe. The sales process encompasses market intelligence, prospecting, proposal / bid preparation, contract negotiations and hand over to the operations department.

The position reports directly to the Vice President Sales & Marketing. The position will be located in either Stavanger, Bergen or Aberdeen, depending on the successful candidate’s preference. 

  • Own and deliver the business / revenue budget for the specified region
  • Provide input to the weekly operations meetings and the monthly forecast for the region
  • Prepare bids and commercial proposals
  • Negotiate contracts and frame agreements with prospective customers
  • Hold specific customer accounts with global responsibility both in terms of overall delivery and strategy
  • Contribute actively to the sales and business development strategy for the region as well as the annual revenue budget
  • Actively identify key trends, technology developments and competitor dynamics within the market place, particularly in the specified region. These will include price point input, business opportunities, rival products and services, strengths and weaknesses 
  • Attend conferences, seminars and other sales and marketing events within the specified region
  • Other activities as required from time to time by AGR including potential overlap, coverage of “other” regions during unforeseen circumstances or for a planned interim period.

  • Authority within the limits, and according to the details of,  the pre-agreed sales and marketing budget
  • Authority at Regional level according to the EDS Authority matrix.

  • Ensure the safety of  yourself, your team and all other AGR employees
  • Grow the AGR EDS-ORS business specifically within the specified region whilst contributing to the overall global business growth strategy, as per the goals specified in your personal scorecard
  • Increase and improve the knowledge and perception of AGR within the specified region
  • Strive to improve the performance of the business at all levels in all regions where possible.
Qualification requirements
  • Candidates should have experience in sales from previous account management or business development roles, preferably within offshore drilling services
  • Knowledge of managed pressure drilling is an advantage.
  • A university degree in engineering or business is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have a network of contacts in the drilling department of operators and well management companies in Norway or the UK.
