Øystein has been with AGR for 10 years. He first joined the compay as Drilling Engineer working on a wide range of wells managed by the AGR Well Management group on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Later he moved to a position as a Senior Drilling Engineer joining the Software team in 2014. It was him and one other drilling engineer at our company that were the founders and idea carriers of the bespoke software platform
iQx.
Øystein’s assumption of the position as VP AGR Software coincides with several new hires within the Software area. We are also happy to welcome two new members to Software team in Stavanger and Oslo.
Svein Sollund, AGR CEO, comments: “I am happy that Øystein has accepted to take on the role. He has proved his competency over many years and engagement towards AGR's strategy in helping oil companies in digitalisation, and I look forward to working with him to secure the continued success of AGR Software.”
Øystein says: “With smart strategic decisions, AGR Software has through recent challenging times for the industry managed to keep almost all existing clients and acquire several new over the last few years – that’s impressive! It’s exciting times for us, both with getting the new team members on board and with enhanced focus in the Americas. I very much look forward to taking the role as VP and will aim to expand our client portfolio further. With the digitalisation focus currently swiping over the industry, AGR is in position to create a lot of value for our clients.”
