AGR attends Atlantic Ireland 2016
Our Well Management teams introduce and share AGR experience in Ireland during the annual exhibition in Dublin.
Atlantic Ireland 2016 was hosted in DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin and the event is organised by the Irish Shelf Petroleum Studies Group of the Petroleum Infrastructure Programme (PIP-ISPSG). The conference aims to inform the oil and gas community of the latest exploration opportunities and survey results. The two day gathering includes oral and poster sessions and an exhibition.
AGR's Well Management team was present to introduce and share our experience in Ireland. Last year, AGR were contracted by Kinsale Energy to provide full Well Management
services for the Midleton exploration well to be drilled in the Celtic Sea. This was the first well to be drilled in Ireland under the recently updated Irish regulatory regime.
The well was planned to intersect two gas targets with potential for pressure depletion. Logistical support was managed in country from a supply base in Cork, with all equipment managed and mobilised from Aberdeen by AGR's Integrated Logistics
The well was drilled in 33.7 days and saved 14% versus AFE.
