AGR’s Software business unit has been named a Gazelle Company for 2017 in the latest annual awards from Norwegian financial newspaper Dagens Næringsliv - the second year in a row that AGR has enjoyed the honour.

The awards, which cover the whole of Norway, recognize companies that over a four-year period have at least doubled their turnover while keeping a positive overall operating profit. It is based on an evaluation of the financial and operating results of the company in question as well as the potential for commercial growth, continuous development and fiscal improvement.

“We are delighted to receive the honour of being a gazelle company again,” said Petter Mathisen, VP of AGR Software.

“AGR has been at the forefront of developing innovative technologies since the early 1990s and – even with the oil & gas industry downturn – has continued to invest in technology advances to meet the ever changing needs of international oil & gas companies. The award is an acknowledgment of this and is testament to the hard work of the entire company.”

Leading the oil & gas industry’s path towards digitalisation, AGR now offers data management and data processing software that delivers lower costs, higher levels of efficiency and better quality processes.

The new version of AGR’s iQx™ database is a leading web-based platform incorporating operational and geological data and where visualisation, analytics and integration with 3rd party Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) is highly accessible and easy to carry out.

iQx™ allows E&P companies to unlock enhanced value from their historic and real-time data with the software’s features complementing each other in making predictions, mapping trends, strengthening cross-divisional learning and enabling operators to design new wells.

Petter Mathisen concludes: “Cost management and risk mitigation are a central focus for petroleum engineers and iQx™ and its database deliver on both counts. We look forward to iQx™ becoming a standard tool in future well management projects.”
Key benefits of iQx™ are:
  • Improved multidisciplinary collaboration due to the automating of data management.
  • 50% saving on time required for data analysis.
  • Increased efficiency in knowledge transfer and skills development.
  • Accurate well time and cost planning and simulation
  • Enhanced commercial and technical intelligence in new license areas.

AGR’s client feedback and case stories speak for themselves and provide the best reflection of iQx™ benefits.
