This week will see the Decommissioning and Mature Wells Management conference taking place in Kuala Lumpur's Sheraton Imperial Hotel. The conference is hosted by DecomWorld, the leading oil and gas decommisioning community.
AGR's team in Australia were assigned to plan and execute the permanent well abandonment campaign of two production subsea wells and five suspended subsea wells in the Puffin field, Australia for Sinopec Oil and Gas Australia.
As a result, the project was carefully executed with final costs coming in within 1% of AFE.
The full case study of the assignment can be downloaded
here.
At the conference, the Project Manager for the assignment, Claudio Pellegrini, will be presenting the lessons learned and go through technical challenges the team had to overcome during the planning and execution of the tasks.
Prior to the conference, DecomWorld published an interview with Claudio telling in more detail about the Puffin field decommisioning. To read it, please click
