MasterClass courses introduced by TRACS Training
to the oil and gas industry are designed for professionals who want to update or refresh their knowledge on specific topics but don't want to spend a week away from their desk. The classes are usually a combination of theory, practical exercises and brainstorming for inspiration and conversation led by experts in their respective fields and great opportunity for networking.
The latest MasterClass course launched by the team focuses on the topic of decommissioning and will cover the steps of strategy, planning and execution leading to a high-level cost estimate and schedule for the project.
The course is taught by Ian Prince, who has 40 years’ experience, primarily in construction engineering and management. He spent 23 years with Wood Group, the last 17 as Decommissioning Manager, where he has been responsible for over 100 decommissioning studies covering liability and conceptual design through to detailed engineering and implementation. He is the author of ‘Decommissioning Strategies for 21st Century’ in addition to numerous papers and conference presentations.
