Qualification requirements
Education and experience

Minimum BSc degree or similar in engineering sciences
Minimum 2 years of experience in drilling and well planning/operations
Sound technical understanding of development and exploration drilling/well completion, HSE, Field Operation and a good understanding of geology, subsea and commercial.
Good communication skills across disciplines and with Contractors.

Good communicator, proactively seeking advice from others and share own experiences with group
Good knowledge of the English and preferably the Norwegian language
Open and transparent communication
 
Job specific requirements
Objective of the roleWell planning according to well construction process for exploration and production wells.
 
Responsibilities and work tasks:

Contribute to the drilling technical work
Perform drilling engineering services in the well project in order to accomplish the established objectives and plans
Collaborate with subsurface and develop drilling concepts, time and cost analysis, well risks etc.
Collaborate with relevant drilling strings and ensure information is transferred
Prepare relevant reports and documents for the well process, analyze the performed work and contribute to the experience transfer in the well project
Initiate and follow up studies as required
Make sure that risk evaluation/analysis is properly used in relation to the conceptual design decisions
Obtain experiences from other similar projects in the company or from industry
Keep updated regarding new equipment and new working techniques, and ascertain implementation of this when necessary for the accomplishment of cost efficient wells
Ensure a good communication with all groups in the project
Take care of the daily drilling technical supervision of ongoing operations
If necessary, initiate and contribute to improvements of the relevant mandatory and guiding documents
Identify and handle dispensations and non-conformances if/when necessary
Support the operational teams during execute phase as directed
Participate in performance reviews and studies as directed
