For our Client we are looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer
Qualification requirements
Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum) required; Graduate degrees preferred

Professional competences and skills
Prior experience with mentoring of young Engineers
An effective team player with drive, initiative, integrity, multi-cultural experience, and excellent  communication skills

Experience needed
10-25 years relevant experience in Reservoir and/or Petroleum Engineering studies and operations
Experience with stage gate processes, development studies, field development plans (FDPs), and reserve management systems
Evidence of analytical and classical RE skills
Prior experience with a recognized IOC as an operator
Prior experience with mature field redevelopment a plus
Expert level in black oil and compositional numerical simulations

IT skills
Experience with Eclipse, Petrel RE, Kappa suite, Petroleum Experts suite, as well as, MS Office suite

Language skills
Fluent English
Intermediate Norwegian
Job specific requirements
  • Responsible for supporting the Subsurface study teams, and for delivering Reservoir Engineering solutions to the Company
  • Support field development studies including pre-simulation studies, dynamic reservoir model builds (both material balance and 3D numerical modelling), conceptual development planning (well counts, spacing, etc.), and production forecasting
  • Assist in drafting subsurface sections of Field Development Plans (FDPs)
  • Support Development Geoscience Team with static model builds, as necessary
  • Provide Reservoir Engineering support for core studies, and lead PVT analyses and associated studies
  • Provide occasional well test plans, ops office support, and well test analyses for Development, Exploration & Appraisal wells
  • Provide support for Business Development assessments, as necessary
  • Assist with QA/QC of Reservoir Engineering deliverables, and with stage-gate and technical assurance processes
  • Assist in leading yearly internal reserve assessments in compliance with SPE guidelines & PRMS
  • Interfacing with Partners at Technical Committee Meetings (TCM)
  • Ensures full collaboration and effective communication of Reservoir Engineering activities within the integrated project teams, and the OpCo
  • Mentor junior staff, and assist with ensuring Reservoir Engineering excellence and best practices
  • Manage external contractors engaged by OpCo for specific tasks
  • Initiate direct and QC external studies as required
