Qualification requirements
Required competency (education, knowledge/experience & skills):
10+ years’ experience with wellsite geology, coring and reporting
Good knowledge of current well site offshore operations on the Norwegian shelf
Relevant experience in exploration drilling and well planning
Familiar with the latest LWD, mud logging, wireline tools and capabilities and familiar with coring procedures and handling as well as core testing procedures.
Good external network with service providers, (Logging Companies, Core Companies, Biostrat Companies etc.)
Broad knowledge of current regulations relating to geological operations on the NCS and elsewhere.
PC literate, with knowledge of well composite software’s
Job specific requirements
Assigned roles, responsibilities, procedures and other:
Participate in planning and justification of well location(s), well objectives and total depth criteria.
Follow operations and coordinate (onshore) the offshore subsurface people and data during operations.
Good knowledge of pore pressure evaluation in an offshore NCS context
Well data acquisition program planning and analysis.
Responsible for the preparation of geological prognoses for all Exploration and Appraisal wells
Responsible for the timely dissemination of geological data during well operations and the timely completion of Final Well Reports to the standards required by firm, NPD and Partners.
Jointly responsible with Petrophysicists for the evaluation and application of new and emerging well data acquisition technologies to reduce cost and improve quality.
Follow WDDP Maxwell/Maxbook process, well assurance and documentation.
Working in close cooperation with the Well Operations organization
Work closely with HSE and other stakeholders to ensure operations are assured and permitted properly.
