The Contract Manager will be overall responsible for Contract Management process for the Norwegian Petroleum Services division of AGR. This includes establishment of new contracts with customers and suppliers, handling of existing contracts and exploring new possibilities within contracting for Petroleum Services Norway.

It is the Contract Manager’s responsibility to understand all contracts and to develop contact strategies that build consensus internally, as well as externally with our existing and upcoming customers and suppliers. The Contract Manger will also have the opportunity to advise, explore and develop a common contracting process across the Petroleum Services divisions.

The Contract Manager will be responsible for Petroleum Services Norway Procurement Process and Procedures. Work with suppliers to secure priority, focus and quality and look for new business opportunities between Petroleum Services and suppliers.

The Contract Manager will be an important member of the Rig Management Team for Petroleum Services Norway. The workload estimated to be split 1/3 towards Well Management, 1/3 towards other Functions and 1/3 towards the Rig Management Team.


Contract Management
  • Contract administration; Manage and maintain contracts files
    • Updates and expiry dates
    • Rate adjustments and escalation of all contracts
    • Negotiate and incorporate options
    • Contract amendments, Variation Orders (VOs), side letters and extentions
    • Close out of contracts
  • Establish contract strategies
  • Oversee and Participate in tender processes
  • Negotiate new contracts with customers
  • Discuss, follow up and finalize “ call off’s” with customers
  • Develop Overview Documents/tables for the Contracts for line managers and operational personnel in order to optimize administration and understanding in the implementation of contracts, including necessary VOs and contract amendments
  • Assistance to Line managers and operational personnel during performance of work
  • Maintain customer relation ship
    • Regular contract meetings
    • Follow up on contract details
    • Handling of disagreements and conflicts of existing contracts
    • Look for new business opportunities between AGR and Customers
    • Involvement in Business Development and Sales/Marketing activities

Procurement Management
  • Develop a common procurement process and Procedures for AGR PS Norway
  • Develop a consistent ITT preparation, issuance, reception, evaluation and recommendation for contract award process, including standard documents procedures and evaluation tools
  • Look for new business opportunities with suppliers as part of the Procurement Process

Rig Management Team member
  • Key member of Rig Management Team in AGR PS Norway, responsible for securing Rig Consortiums/Rig Campaigns and Sublet slots for AGR PS
  • Develop transparent compensation models for securing Rig slots for clients, including a price structure for clients wanting full or partly Well management support and Clients wanting only a rig slot
  • Develop a clear and consistent communication of Rig Management set up and benefits for AGR PS Norway line and personnel and towards clients
Qualification requirements
  • Master level relevant commercial education
  • Minimum 7 years experience with contract and procurement work from the oil and gas industry
  • At least 2 years in lead position.
  • Relevant work experience may compensate for lack of Master level education.
  • Proven track record of high performance
  • Results driven, energetic and efficient
  • Fluent verbal and written English and Norwegian
