AGR is engineering and software partner servicing its clients in extracting the maximum of their energy production assets. With six offices around the world, we have been involved in managing 540+ well projects, completing numerous reservoir studies and supporting some of the largest hydrocarbon discoveries on the Norwegian continental shelf throughout our 30 years’ operating history.

AGR is owned by Akastor (a subsidiary of AKER group companies).

AGR aims to be the employer of choice. By striving to meet the highest requirements and standards of the industry and what we do, we invest into our people and aim to offer a working environment that is attractive and motivating. We have a team of pioneers and we respect their professional and personal development and ambitions.

Our Reservoir Management team comprises 20 professionals covering the disciplines of reservoir and petroleum engineering, geophysics, geology, petrophysics, well completions and production engineering, facilities engineering and petroleum economics. The team has on average of 20 years' industry experience and an impressive track record from exploration, development and production projects globally. AGR is also reputable reserves and resources evaluator and works with both energy companies, financial investors and groups in addition to regulatory bodies.
We are now seeking a Reservoir Geologist to join our team in the Oslo office.

Main Responsibilities

The primary role will focus on the geological evaluations within the integrated teams of subsurface professionals for the in-house G&G, reservoir and field development studies.

Responsibility will be integration of structural geology, seismic interpretations, sedimentology, petrophysics, reservoir characterization and dynamic data into digital and analogue geological models. In addition to the field and reservoir studies, AGR is heavily involved in reserves certifications and asset valuations. These teams are formed from all the sub-surface disciplines, and the successful candidate would participate in these activities.

AGR people are generally individuals who would like to move from a constrained corporate environment to role where they are given the freedom to express their ideas and develop and nurture client relationships.

AGR has developed a series of training courses which are delivered in-house for clients. There is an opportunity for the candidate to learn and deliver some of these courses, but this is not a pre-requisite for the position.
